Denise Michelson is the top selling real estate agent for Preserve properties and has been so for years.  She has sold more Preserve properties than any one else except the original developer, Naterra Land.  In 2021 alone, she sold 40 Preserve properties.  Solid Source Realty (now "HomeSmart") recognized her accomplishments by inducting her into the "Circle of Excellence".

Denise Michelson received her BME from Southern Methodist University in 1974.  Her career has involved several decades of education and administration as a teacher, school creator and administrator, community administrator, and real estate marketing specialist.

Upon graduation from SMU, she taught orchestral instrumental music privately. In 1985 Denise established Cherokee Christian School under the auspices of the session of Cherokee Presbyterian Church (PCA).  As a state certified educator, Denise Michelson not only organized the school, but was its first headmaster.  Later she served as the chairman of the school board for the next 12 years.  Today Cherokee Christian School is a multi-million dollar operation enrolling students from kindergarten through 12th grade.

As general contractors, Denise and her husband built their home next to the Preserve at Sharp Mountain on a 47 acre tract.  Denise comes from a family of engineers (her father, husband and sons all being engineers), so embarking on a project to build a high tech home in the mountains of North Georgia was not considered formidable.  The home is built of steel construction (no wood framing), is geothermally heated and cooled, solar powered with grid assist, wired to industrial rather than just residential standards, specially insulated, and on a deep well.  Having actually designed and built a home in the area, Denise is well prepared to assist her clients with questions involving site placement, construction techniques, and considerations such as Buy or Build.  She maintains plats and perc test results for the properties within The Preserve.

Denise not only lives directly adjacent to The Preserve, but she and her husband own property within The Preserve, and both have served on various property owner association (POA) Boards of Directors for The Preserve, with Denise overseeing one of the most successful Boards as its elected President.  As such, she is intimately familiar with the function of The Preserve and its Covenants and Bylaws.

No other real estate agent in North Georgia has the in depth knowledge of The Preserve at Sharp Mountain and the Jasper/Pickens County area that Denise Michelson has gained through experience. She will bring this experience and knowledge together to help you buy your dream property within The Preserve. Conversely, if you have a property to sell within The Preserve, she can bring her buyers to your doorstep.
